Your mantra can be a word or a phrase like “Om”, “So Hum”, “Peace”, and “Love” etc. These are some of the common ones that are used, but you can choose your own and repeat it for however long you plan to meditate.

Step 2: Find Your Comfort

Choose a place that is quiet and comfortable. You can opt for any posture you like. You could sit on the floor, or lie on the yoga mat or sit with cushions. The goal and main aim of this is to be comfortable and alert. Any room or area can be your spot as long as you are comfortable

Step 3: Mindful Breathing Is Important

Inhaling and exhaling slowly and watching your breathing pattern is important to bring in concentration. Breathing mindfully helps you stay relaxed and calm.

Repeat your mantras while you breathe mindfully. If it does not correlate with your breath, don’t stress on it. Let your breathing and mantras fall in its own pace gradually.

After you have meditated for however long, stop repeating your mantra and in which ever position you are, close your eyes. Spend some time here and relax. Don’t abruptly end your meditation and get up or look at your phone.
